about
Black-Eyed Dog reflects a kind of a fever-dream state that I felt in the scorching first summer of lockdown and all the days were blurring into one. I had a degree of personal growth and weirdly found a semblance of inner peace during that time, despite spending a lot of those days milling about, walking in circles and not really knowing how to use my time - an experience that all of us in the band inadvertently shared at some point.
lyrics
As I'm breathing in I think of blue
Because you told me to
It's too much to bear
It's too much
And as such, I'll never sing again
When I stumble down a street unknown
I think of you at home
Too much to bear
It's too much
And as such, I'll never sing again
We are late for this meeting
I'm late for that day I spent
Late for this healing
I'm late for that day I didn't get to spend
Take a walk with the black-eyed dog
I think you'd learn a lot
It's too much to bear
It's too much
And as. The. Sun. Sets
I'll never sing again
We are late for this meeting
I'm late for that day I spent
Late for this healing
I'm late for that day I didn't get to spend
